He's ride is almost too casual, sitting atop the pink-purple Lapras as they bounced and floated on harsh seas. The ocean beast is nearby and he has a suspicion it's coming to Shoal Cave. Whether its the natural sea routes and currents egging the temperamental beast along, or something else in one of Hoenn's only frozen spots, he's not sure. But the energy readings are spiking, and he can't help but grin despite being so close to danger. "Come you diving blimp." he said as he watched a particular spot on his energy reader spike. Bellini cries out moving him closer to a spit of land near the cliffs. The water is surging and he wanted it rise and slap at rock it had never been able to erode. [break][break]

The channel is decently wide but he's unsure how a giant water pokemon mid temper tantrum would fare coming through it. Maybe it'd get stuck. He chews on a PEPPERMINT chocolate, breathing out cold breath before speaking to his rider in the sky over the comms, "See it yet?! Big blue thing, creepy yellow abyss eyes, big mouth!" he asked as the beeping on his device got faster and faster.

Though Fern had considered riding on the back of their milotic, much like Mint rides his lapras, their preference for their dragapult wins out as it often does. They lift higher in the air, still low enough to hear Mint for a bit. But just out of the ocean spray. They shield their eyes with a hand, looking out toward the horizon line. "Stubborn beast, isn't it?"[break][break]
The water is choppy and they look down toward their friend with a frown. "If the pull is too much, I can give you a lift," Fern offers before rising higher still to get a better vantage.[break][break]
Blue eyes scan the waves and they nudge Cecilia to circle the rocky outcropping. "I don't think so--" they reply, their frown deepening as they hear the frantic beep of the tracker in the background of the comm. "Be careful."[break][break]

"It's lost in its own rage filled haze!" Mint called back with a laugh. His device pings the approaching Kyogre, a mix of almost dueling energies present on his radar. Primal and Infinity fight for control. [break][break]

Kyogre rises with a screechy roar, jaws opening wide as it breached the surface and it's fat fin slammed into the cliffside. It raised it's tail, trying to push itself through with AQUA TAIL. Bellini cries out again and Mint obeys, hopping off his ride and further onto a thick sandbar and rocks. [break][break]

The Kyogre trashes, yellow creepy eyes locking in on the cliffsides as it blasted an ORIGIN PULSE trying to widen the chasm. "Holy shit!!" the thing really was rampaging. "Did you SEE that?!"

Mint’s laughter draws out their own. “How very dramatic of it!” they chime back as they play along. “How Shakespearean, even! Do you think it will bellow a soliloquy for us?” They continue to scout from above, hoping it will breach the surface and give itself away beyond the ominous rumbling from the deep.[break][break]
They get their wish– the beast breaks through in a crash of ocean water. The deep vibration of its cry rumbles through Fern– even in the air. “Woah there!” Their dragapult banks away from the swing of Kyogre’s tail– the thrill eliciting a wild giggle from the admin.[break][break]
Cecilia’s maw opens as the green, photosynthetic light of SOLAR BEAM begins to swell in her throat. A measure of biding time until someone more electric shows up. But Fern’s eyes pinpoint on Mint on the bank as the legendary launches an attack. The first of a probable many.[break][break]
“I did! Watch out down there, will ya? It’s fast for a big boy!”

"Maybe. Gods know it was probably bored out of its skull chained to the League!" Mint shouted back as the encroach on the sea beast. His partner simply pushes in as the Kyogre recoils against the SOLAR BEAM, not letting up on it as she blasted Kyogre with ICE BEAM. "Don't worry about me, I have contingencies!" he called back with a thumbs up as he looked back at the whale. As the numbers clock ever upwards on his device, he looks back at his friend. [break][break]

"THEO BECKETT told me to swallow those trackers. If you can get one stuck inside its mouth, I'd appreciate it!" he said as his Lapras gave chase to the angry titan. Ice crept up over the beast's body lasting seconds before it began to crack and then shatter under Kyogre's movements. It summons more points of blue light, blasting a barrage of ORIGIN PULSE at its attackers for daring to think they can take it on. [break][break]

“Fair point!” Fern howls over the gale winds and the rush of ocean spray that leaps up to meet them. “I’d probably be a little fed up too!” But if that were the cause, does that mean it won’t be too keen to get anywhere near Rocket too? Probably.[break][break]
No matter— it’s not like they’re making some great attempt to actually capture Kyogre today. They’d probably need just a tiny bit more man power, even if Fern bears the bond of Tapu Koko’s patronage.[break][break]
“Like what sort of contingencies?” Their eyes dart down to the Beast. They didn’t doubt him, of course—but a hint for whatever Plan B is would be useful.[break][break]
Fern pursues from the air as Mint’s lapras attempts to freeze the beast up. “I’ll do what I can~” they chime back, finding said trackers where they were tucked in an inner coat pocket. “Alright Ceci, wait for just the right moment.”[break][break]
Fern coos low to their dragapult and she poises herself for the moment Kyogre bellows low, maw splitting open wide to reveal rows of sharp teeth. The PHANTOM FORCE sucks them up and spits them out just in time for Fern to chuck one of the devices as hard as they can into its mouth before Cecilia arcs away in a sweeping curve.

"Loads of TELEPORTERS!" He shouted back at his comrade, grinning as ice travelled over the seat water, ever turbulent amidst Kyogre's rampage. "Calm it down, girl!" he shouted as the purple sea beast began to SING and if not lull it to bed, at the very least slow it down. Hopefully, it'd make it all the more easier for Fern to drop his trackers as intended. [break][break]

Just in time it seemed that the beast would yawn. He looses sight of his friend, only to see the pair to arc up and away from the whale's mouth. "Nice one!" he congratulated, already rushing to return his Lapras before summoning Gnocci, his favorite transporter. He runs to the edge of the spit of land he's on, waving down the Admin. "Hurry! Gnocci can send us home!" he called out as the Kyogre seemed to shake it's head, confused as to what had just happened. The dual type's SING had worked just enough to keep its deadly ORIGIN PULSE at bay, but not for long.
